2. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

These Terms apply to all sales of products made to consumers through The Skirt Edit website.

They take precedence over any other document or condition not expressly accepted in writing by the seller. By placing an order, the customer confirms that they have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.

3. PRODUCTS

The products offered for sale are those displayed on the website at the time the customer visits it, subject to availability.

We make every effort to present products, their features, dimensions, and colours as accurately as possible. However, colours may vary depending on the customer’s screen, device, and display settings.

We reserve the right to modify, remove, or replace a product at any time, without affecting orders that have already been confirmed.

4. PRICES

The applicable prices are those displayed on the website at the time the order is placed. The currency and final total applicable to the order are shown to the customer before payment at checkout.

Any delivery charges are displayed before the order is confirmed. Any customs duties, import taxes, or other fees required by the destination country are the customer’s responsibility, unless clearly stated otherwise at checkout.

We may change our prices at any time. However, confirmed orders will be charged at the price shown when the order was placed.

5. ORDERS

To place an order, the customer selects the desired products, adds them to their cart, provides the requested information, reviews the order summary, and completes payment.

An order becomes final once payment has been approved and a confirmation email has been sent to the customer. Customers are responsible for checking that the information they provide is accurate, in particular their delivery address and email address.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of payment difficulties, suspected fraud, an obvious pricing error, product unavailability, or any other situation preventing the normal fulfilment of the order. The customer will be informed and, where applicable, reimbursed for any payment already made.

6. PAYMENT

Payment is due in full at the time the order is placed. Accepted payment methods are those made available at checkout.

Payments are processed securely by the payment providers available on the website. We do not have access to customers’ complete payment card details.

7. DELIVERY

Products are delivered to the countries available at checkout. Delivery methods, charges, and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and detailed in our Shipping Policy.

Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days after payment has been confirmed. Orders are normally delivered within 5 to 10 business days in total, including order processing and transit time.

Delivery times are estimates only. Delays may occur because of carrier disruptions, customs inspections, public holidays, severe weather, or circumstances outside our control. If there is a significant delay, we will inform the customer as soon as possible.

The risk of loss of or damage to products passes to the customer when the products are physically received by the customer or by a third party appointed by the customer.

Customers should inspect their parcel upon delivery. Any missing item, damage, incorrect item, or other issue should be reported as soon as possible to support@theskirtedit.co.uk, with photographs where possible.

8. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL, RETURNS AND REFUNDS

We offer a 14-day return policy. Full return procedures, the applicable return address, exclusions, return shipping costs, and refund conditions are set out in our Return and Refund Policy. For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, subject to applicable law. Customers must contact us and obtain return instructions before sending any item back.

Customers located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area may have a legal right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving their order, without giving a reason, where applicable law provides for this right.

To exercise this right or request a return, customers must contact support@theskirtedit.co.uk, stating their order number and the products concerned. Returns must not be sent without first obtaining return instructions from customer service.

Nothing in these Terms affects customers’ legal rights in relation to faulty, damaged, or incorrectly described products.

9. LEGAL GUARANTEES

Customers benefit from all applicable legal guarantees, including legal guarantees of conformity and protection against hidden defects, where applicable.

If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or does not match its description, the customer should contact support@theskirtedit.co.uk so that the issue can be reviewed and an appropriate solution can be offered.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

10. LIABILITY

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform our obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including force majeure events, carrier disruptions, customs inspections, natural disasters, conflicts, or strikes.

We are not liable where a customer uses a product improperly or provides inaccurate information, including an incorrect delivery address.

11. PERSONAL DATA

Personal data collected when an order is placed is necessary to process, deliver, and provide support for that order. The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy available on the website.

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Content available on the website, including text, visuals, logos, photographs, graphics, and other materials, is protected by applicable intellectual property rights. It may not be reproduced, used, or distributed without prior written permission.

13. COMPLAINTS AND CONSUMER MEDIATION

For any question, complaint, or request relating to an order, customers may contact us at support@theskirtedit.co.uk.

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly with us, consumer customers may refer the matter free of charge to an approved consumer mediation service, in accordance with applicable law.

14. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These Terms are governed by French law. This does not deprive consumer customers of any mandatory protections provided by the law of their country of residence.

In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable solution. If no agreement is reached, the competent courts will be determined in accordance with applicable law.

15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time. The Terms that apply to an order are those in force on the date that order is placed.
